About the Program
The Midshipmen Battalion comprises scholarship students and enlisted officer candidates, as well as students working to earn a scholarship.
Midshipmen work side by side toward the common goals of academic and professional excellence and, ultimately, a commission as an ensign in the United States Navy or as a second lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps. Being a midshipman provides immediate opportunities for close camaraderie with others who value professionalism and excellence and seek the opportunity to serve community and country.
NROTC students pursue a variety of majors, with those planning on entering the Navy focusing on engineering, math, and the sciences. Midshipmen are actively involved in all that the ÌìÃÀÊÓƵ has to offer—including intercollegiate athletics, student ambassadorships, study abroad, and numerous clubs and organizations.
